3 Things To Consider When Renting A Limo For Wedding Transportation

Posted on

If you are getting married this fall and want a limo to transport you and your new spouse from your wedding location to the reception, here are three things that you need to think about before you book the limo.

Determine What Will You Need The Limo For

Most limo companies require you to book a limo for a certain number of hours. You are not going to able to just book a limo for a thirty-minute drive from the wedding location to the reception; you are probably going to have to book the limo for a couple of hours.

If you are required to book the limo for a couple of hours, try to get the most out of the rental. Does your wedding party need transportation to the reception as well? Will the female wedding parties members be getting ready at a different location and need transportation to the ceremony itself? Will you be doing a reveal and will you need transportation to your wedding photo shoot? Try to think about who else may need transportation on your wedding day so you can make the most of your limo.

Add Time For The Unexpected

Next, make sure that you add in time for the unexpected. Don't book your limo so tight that you are not able to adjust things if something happens. Make sure you add wiggle room into your schedule so if your ceremony gets delayed for thirty minutes because the groom's parents are stuck in a traffic jam, you still have the service of your limo to get you to the reception site. Many limo companies will book multiple jobs for one limo in the same day, so don't assume that the limo company can just add time to your booking; be sure to build it in.

Go Over The Payment Beforehand

On your wedding day, the last thing you want to worry about is paying your limo driver. Take some time to go over the limo rental agreement and pay the deposit in advance. If you have to pay the limo driver the day of, designate a family or friend to be responsible for paying the driver; that way, you will not have to worry about paying the driver on your special day. If you can set up the payment in advance, do that instead.

Make sure that you add wiggle room into your limo schedule while using your limo time effectively, and designate a point-person to be in charge of any payment or contract details on the day of your wedding.
